Location:  Stirlingshire 
The Farm
This is a very progressive farm business with milk retailing business and are seeking for a Tractor Driver/ General Farm Worker for their 300 Friesian herd plus followers on 1,500 acres in Stirlingshire. 
The herd are milked twice daily in a 50 point rotary with Automatic cluster remover. The herd are housed in straw courts and sawdust, and are out during the summer period weather permitting. The herd are fed by a home mixed and compound. 
The successful applicant with be joining a team of three already on farm plus other General Farm Workers. 
The position/Applicant
Our client is seeking a candidate with Dairy experience for their 300 Friesian herd. The position requires the applicant to milk twice daily 6 days with every other weekend off. 
The applicant must be:
  • An experienced with good cow husbandry skills
  • Have AI experienced is a bonus and reasonably knowledgeable of foot trimming
  • Experienced in bedding and parlour maintenance
  • Previous experience in cow health duties.
  • Must have previous experience with good references and clean UK driving licence.
Accommodation is a choice between a three bedroom house close to the farm and a modern mobile home with central heating on farm. 
This is a contract position, where the successful person will operate as an agency worker with Farm Solutions. This means that the person will not have sub-contractor responsibilities and all statutory tax deductions and payments will be made by Farm Solutions on their behalf. Hourly pay operates, which includes pay for overtime hours worked.
