THE COMPANY
Our client partner is an award winning leader in the dairy industry. The directors of this growing company have over 60 years experience in food manufacturing and distribution. Over a short period of time, they have become one of the largest independent dairy providers in Victoria.
THE ROLE
As part of a highly experienced maintenance team, the successful candidate must capable of demonstrating the following:
  • Perform mechanical repairs, manufacture components and other duties as directed by the mechanical supervisor
  • Ability to inspect, analysis and record critical mechanical information during the process of undertaking mechanical refurbishment work; this critical information would include the interpretations of wear and tear or mechanical damage to Gears
  • Ensure all work is carried out to quality and specification requirements and that documentation is completed on time
  • Maintain and use equipment as designed
  • Ensure sufficient task analysis are completed to carry work out safely
  • General fitting including the use of: Centrifugal pumps, lobe pumps and other Critical Process Pumps, Hydraulic Cylinders, Conveyors, motors and homogenisers, high speed packaging machines, valves- alfa laval and butterfly valves, Hydraulic and Pneumatic Systems
THE REQUIREMENTS
  • Trade qualified and have at least 5 years experience as Maintenance Fitter
  • Must have experience MIG & TIG welding on stainless steel
  • Previously work experience in the Beverage or Food Industry
  • Good written and communication skills
  • Co-ordinate and work in a team environment
  • Physically fit and have eye for detail
  • Must be able to follow directions from senior staff
  • Must have a flexible approach to work hours and duties
  • Mature and self-confident, with a strong realization in own competence, capabilities and judgments
WHATS IN IT FOR YOU
You must be flexible to work and cover the shift from 5.30pm to 2am and commit to work overtime on Saturdays when required.
